Manchester United report: First signing of the season 'fully agreed' as replacement for Harry Maguire
Due to Lisandro Martinez's absence during Manchester United's final stretch, defensive cover is now more crucial than ever.
Kim Min-jae from Napoli is reportedly United's first signing of the summer, according to Corriere dello Sport in Italy. According to the source, the club will speak with Kim and his agents once more this week before a medical and paperwork are finalized.
But because of a provision in the South Korean's present contract, the agreement won't be made official just yet.
Kim has a €60 million (£51.6 million) release clause as of July 1, the source claims. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Manchester United has also committed to a €3 million settlement to expedite this deal. This is what they have agreed to trigger.
