Erik Ten Hag wants Leicester ace to replace Bruno Fernandes next season

James Maddison of Leicester City is attracting interest from a number of teams ahead of the summer transfer window, including Manchester United.

The international player for England will enter the final year of his contract with the Foxes in July, and according to rumours, he will quit the team regardless of their standing in the league.

The Foxes would probably seek at least £45 million for their best asset, but whether United will genuinely make an approach to sign him is the big unknown.

Maddison is therefore unlikely to replace him in the starting XI. A summer transfer, in our opinion, depends on how much Ten Hag appreciates the midfielder's versatility.

Although Maddison has played more than 30 games in central midfield, he has primarily played the number 10 position. His appearances on the left and right wings are split evenly.
