CONFIRMED: Manchester United makes decision on Wout Weghorst fate at Old Trafford

Manchester United still have plenty of work to do if they're to secure their place in the Champions League next season.

The Reds lost 1-0 to Brighton at the Amex Stadium last night meaning Erik ten Hag's side missed the chance to move ahead of Newcastle in the Premier League table. A last-minute penalty from Alexis Mac Allister secured the three points for the home side after Luke Shaw was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

United sit four points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool with a game in hand over their Merseyside rivals. Next up for Ten Hag's men is another trip south as they play West Ham in the capital on Sunday.

Meanwhile, United remain in pursuit of Harry Kane ahead of the summer transfer window. This comes amid United deciding on the future of loanee Wout Weghorst. In injury news, United expect to have Raphael Varane back in the near future.
