'I was not injured' - Karim Benzema reveals who sent him home from French camp

Before the commencement of the world cup, Karim Benzema was one of the top stars looking to shine in the tournament. 

However, his aspirations were short-lived as he was reported to have been injured in training with the French squad. He, alongside Christopher Nkunku were some of the French superstars looking to make their mark in the tournament. 

Karim Benzema's agent has claimed he would have been available to play for France from the World Cup round-of-16 stage, but was sent home prematurely by coach Didier Deschamps and the team's medical staff.

This implies that the Real Madrid star is not in good terms with the French gaffer. 

Benzema made this imaginations more real when he announced his retirement from international football shortly after the World Cup final which France lost to Lionel Messi's Argentina.
