Legendary Manchester United manager thinks Marcus Rashford isn’t a ‘striker’ and thinks the club needs another goalscorer. Wout Weghorst who joined the club in January has failed to prove himself as a goal threat.  Rashford is enjoying his greatest-ever goalscoring campaign, and netted his 25th of the season in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle. The forward is comfortably Manchester United‘s top goalscorer this season, with Bruno Fernandes’ seven goals in all competitions the closest contender in the scoring charts. Greenwood has not played for United since January 2022 and remains suspended despite having charges of attempted rape and assault dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service earlier this month. Greenwood was arrested in January of last year but the CPS said that the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction, resulting in the case being dropped. United are now conducting an internal investigation as they determine whether or not the 21-year-old will return to the first team. Manchester United players don’t want striker Mason Greenwood reintegrated back into the changing room. The squad has fears it could derail their progress, according to the UK Sun. Mason had attempted rape and assault charges dropped against him this week. However, the 21-year-old is still facing an internal club investigation.  Greenwood is still included in United’s Premier League squad list, having been named among their U-21 players at the start of the season.
